London Taijiquan Competition 2022. My experiences in the tai chi pushing hands (tui shou) competition

This article examines the claim that Chen family Taijiquan experienced a break in its lineage during the 20th century. By reviewing historical evidence and the roles of Chen Zhaopi, Chen Zhaokui, and the Four Tigers, it argues that the tradition remained intact despite turmoil and village decline. The piece clarifies how the art actually survived and evolved, challenging the narrative of a broken transmission in Chenjiagou, and a continuous transmission in Beijing
