village doctor

Drawing upon almost two decades of direct study under Master Wang Haijun, I offer precise, diagnostic guidance to help re-orient your training and avoid unnecessary detours in your journey.

Think of this as a “Village Doctor” check-in: serious, actionable feedback designed to confirm what’s working, correct what isn’t, and reduce uncertainty in your practice, ensuring your effort is aligned with genuine progress.
Village Doctor: Guidance to Keep You on the Path
Online: Detailed Form Correction (Lao Jia Lineages Only)
The Village Doctor offering is a one-to-one diagnostic and guidance process for practitioners who already have a training context but feel stuck, confused, or uncertain about what their body is actually doing and what they are aiming for.
You send video of your practice, I analyse it through the lens of internal mechanics, fascial organization, and biomechanical debt, and we discuss a clear, minimal set of corrective priorities via Zoom. This is not ongoing instruction or remote teaching; it’s closer to a strategic intervention, helping you see what matters, what doesn’t, and where your next real work lies.
For practitioners in one of the Chenjiagou Lao Jia (Old Frame) lineages, I can help you refine your form. The most effective approach online is for you to film your practice. I then provide a detailed diagnostic report analyzing your movement, highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and actionable advice.

Lineage Notes
The Village Doctor offering is only for practitioners in one of the Chenjiagou Laojia (Old Frame) lineages. If your practice is in another lineage, such as Beijing, I cannot provide detailed form correction.
However, the core principles of extension, release, connection, and internal mechanics, remain the same. I can support you in improving your embodied understanding of these principles through in-person wayfinding sessions.
